Licenses and Validation

Humid Air Injection/Dry Air Injection Technology Licenses:
The license for the HAI/DAI technology had been issued to Calpine Corporation with rights to apply the technology to Calpine owned combustion turbines

Humid Air Injection/Dry Air Injection Technology Validation:
The HAI/AI technology has been used for the power augmentation of the Unit 3 -GE PG7241 (FA) combustion turbine, installed at Calpine Corporation's the Broad River power plant, South Carolina. Calpine Corporation conducted validation tests, including extensive measurements of multitude of parameters, with a particular emphasis on the combustion turbine operations with recommended parameters and limitations. Test results confirmed and exceeded the Unit 3 expected power augmentation and other performance characteristics, while the combustion turbine was operating within specified parameters, including combustion stability and emissions.
